The Bad News

That hasn’t been.

Gateway Pundit notes 6 horrific stories in the papers that turned out false. Click through for the details.

In roughly six and a half weeks the mainstream media reported 6 bogus stories from Iraq and Afghanistan.
There certainly could be more.
They all reflected poorly on the US and US military.

Isn’t it past time that the media be held accountable for their horrible record?

And… Is it really surprising that only 29% of Americans, Germans and Brits trust their media?

Bolivia

You’d think that a region seceding from Bolivia (the region that has the resources and is getting taxed up the wazoo by the new left govt) would have made the front page news of the Washington Post or the NYtimes
But no, I learned this from Scott.

(CNN) — Tensions were rising in Bolivia on Saturday as members of the country’s four highest natural gas-producing regions declared autonomy from the central government.

…Council representatives vowed to legitimize the so-called autonomy statutes through a referendum that would legally separate the natural-gas rich districts from President Evo Morales’ government.

The move also aims to separate the states from Bolivia’s new constitution, which calls for, among other things, a heavier taxation on the four regions to help finance more social programs.

As he notes, this isn’t going to be pretty.
