I’m just looking for an answer on this story off of Drudge about mortgage fraud arrests.
Here’s the title and first paragraph.
Hundreds swept up in mortgage fraud arrests
WASHINGTON – More than 400 real estate industry players have been indicted since March — including dozens over the last two days — in a Justice Department crackdown on incidents of mortgage fraud nationwide that have contributed to the country’s housing crisis.
But then later, you get this:
The most common type of mortgage fraud was misstatement of income or assets, followed by forged documents, inflated appraisals and misrepresentation of a buyer’s intent to occupy a property as a primary residence.
Do mortgage people go to jail if the potential homeowner misrepresents him/herself??
Tsvangirai ‘mulls quitting poll’
And who can blame him. 70 of his supporters have been murdered. And 25,000 have been forced from their homes.
Zimbabwe. Yet another country in the shitter who we will cause us to once again look deep, deep into our souls and decide we should have “done something”. “Never again”.
Michael Leeden at The Corner has this to say:
This is Darfur all over again. And Iran all over again. And Syria all over again. Stern language, with the threat of even sterner language if the recipient doesn’t behave better.
Yep
“I don’t REALLY think we should nationalize the refineries. Just thought we could pressure them into better behavior.”, Rep Hinchey.
??HUH?
