Happy Fourth of July!

I heard Ralph Peters on the radio yesterday. I like that guy. He can be a bit over the top and I think some of this linked column is that, but tis always worth a read.

Regarding the Fourth of July and the words of the Declaration of Independence and other great orations:

Unless etched in the blood of patriots, noble words evaporate.

Amen to that. Thank you to all who serve as we celebrate this Independence day once again!

Quote of the Day

By Charles Krauthammer on Barack Obama and his “Seasonal Principles”. His quote is concerning a word used when someone asked about Obama’s previous stance on the constitutionality of DC’s gun ban.

“……a first entry in the Obamaworld dictionary — “Inartful: clear and straightforward, lacking the artistry that allows subsequent self-refutation and denial.”

I’m not sure which of Obama’s statements about abortion are “inartful”, but one of them must be as he now believes late term abortion should not be allowed due to the mental health of the mother, yet he believes post birth abortion is fine.

David N. O’Steen, the executive director of National Right to Life, said Obama’s remarks to the magazine “are either quite disingenuous or they reflect that Obama does not know what he is talking about.”
“You cannot believe that abortion should not be allowed for mental health reasons and support Roe v Wade,” O’Steen said.

hmmmm

Inartful. I like it.

The Rescue

If you haven’t read the story, do. It’s pretty cool.

Friday……calf, I mean pony Blogging

These guys were so cute. I drive by them every day on the way to the farm.
Here they are 3 mamas, watching over their 3 sleeping babies.
