Imagine sitting in a board meeting of a once successful company, one focused on an abysmal income statement, and the chairman reveals he’s overwhelmed.
Or it’s half-time in the locker room of a football team with a storied past, one down by about 3 touchdowns, and the head coach looks at each of you players and states that he’s overwhelmed.
Or you’re the patriarch of a large and usually propsperous family farm, one that’s coming out of a dreadful growing season, one where family members are looking to you for wisdom and you state that you’re simply overwhelmed.
Great.
Perhaps if he would quit worrying so much about what reporters think of him that he feels the need to call them up and explain.

Yes, the government can now take even more imaginary money to spend on something it wants.

Yes, somehow, by using Federal money vs private money this is going keep research FREE of POLITICAL interference. Huh???
Life is overwhelming me with things that really matter, but this has been on my mind for days and thanks for writing about the issue of leadership and crisis response. Remember when candidate Obama ridiculed candidate McCain when he “suspended” his campaign to deal with the economic crisis.
I believe the response was …”a President has to be able to deal with multiple situations” or something along those lines. Our current team in the White House is the biggest group of bumblers that has seen the light of day in a loooooong time.
It is now becoming painfully clear that when people said he has run/commnaded/directed/led nothing and they responded “he’s run a brilliant campaign” we were right.
Has anyone noticed not his greying hair but his fallen face and near complete lack of a smile or good humor? His face is sagging after 49 days? He will look horrendous in 3 years.
Lastly, and I’ve got a ton on my mind, why has team and him allowed to descend into that pit of fighting with news pundits? Not only is he a complete narcissist, he can’t even punch up, folks, he is the PRESIDENT of the US! Could you imagine if Bush had ever gone after Olbermouth?
I am really getting woried for our country. Tonight, CNN asked if the economy is Obama’s 9/11. I’ve got news for them, there is evil out there and they are not fazed by a telepromter given speech. As the defense department is the only part of the US government to not be increased and plans for real cuts, we are approaching a concerning time….
