Change! Obama Fires Inspector General For Investigating Corrupt Obama Supporter Who Used Americorps Funds to Wash Car

I’ve complained in the past about Muslims not confronting their own folks with the terrorism that emanates from there.
Today the Arab News does just that in talking about the Pakistani villagers who have had enough of the Taliban. (even calling them “the enemy within”)
A suicide bomber just killed an antiTaliban cleric in an attack on a mosque. (during an attack on another mosque)
Keep it up Taliban. You’ll find yourselves as welcome in Pakistan as Rosie O’donnell would be. (middle aged, outspoken, lesbian woman of 0 appeal)
Good luck with future medical miracles out there! As drug companies make the big bucks it MUST be time to slap em down. Wyeth just lost a lawsuit due to the Supreme Court deciding that states could adjust their standards for drugs beyond the FDA requirements.
(A PA had injected one of Wyeth’s drugs in a contrary way to the label instructions. A woman lost her arm and has now won $7.3million)
How much loss to litigation/loss to reimportation of drugs/loss due to (soon to come) price controls should companies take? What will be there breaking point where pharmaceutical companies decide it’s cheapest and yet most profitable to rewrap old drugs into new drugs (Tide to NEW Improved TIDE) vs actually introducing new drugs into the market?
Just as there is potential danger from the way in which Americans take the power of the antibiotic for granted, so, too, one of the greatest threats to our health and continued welfare is that Americans in the present day, and particularly their leaders, are taking for granted the power, potency, and progress flowing from life-saving medical innovations. And in so doing, they may unknowingly prevent the kind of advance that could contribute as vitally to the welfare of the 21st century as the discovery of the antibiotic altered the course of human history for the better in the century just concluded.
We assume someone somewhere will create a new drug for whatever ails us. In this environment, that assumption is not very accurate.

I didn’t coin this, the Anchoress did.
I just can’t argue with her. President Obama does the opposite of what he says. Time and again. His latest Miranda rights ridiculousness is going to end up with more dead enemies than captured ones.
Speaking of President Opposite, what should he do now as China demands their own terrorists back?
America should “stop handing over terrorist suspects to any third country,” foreign ministry spokesman Qin Gang said.
Palau doesn’t even recognize communist China. Hillary Clinton has said that humans rights in China play second fiddle to our economic needs. And Obama needs China right now.
Now could well be the time for China to rear its ugly head.
Karl Rove takes a swing at government health care.
He makes good arguments, then adds this silly sentence, I guess for balance?
Health care desperately needs far-reaching reforms that put patients and their doctors in charge, bring the benefits of competition and market forces to bear, and ensure access to affordable and portable health care for every American. Republicans have plans to achieve this, and they must make their case for reform in every available forum.
“Republicans have plans to achieve this”……oh really? Can anyone tell me the Republican plan to fix healthcare?
I’ve been despising the blogging lately and mostly because it involves so much economics of which there are so many numbers it takes actual research to dispute this stuff.
Which brings me to this story written by David Leonhardt on the new deficit – which on it’s surface is so laughable I’m crying.
You can think of that roughly $2 trillion swing as coming from four broad categories: the business cycle [37%], President George W. Bush’s policies [33%], policies from the Bush years that are scheduled to expire but that Mr. Obama has chosen to extend [20%], and new policies proposed by Mr. Obama [10%].
Huh??
OOh – thank goodness. When I first looked around the blogosphere this morning, no one had covered this story.
So I went looking for the famous graph below and Gateway Pundit now has the scoop. And the quote of the day.
Shameless liars.
Go. Read him.
Seriously. I know “all blow jobs” are good, but is President Obama going to respect you in the morning Mr. Leonhardt?
I’m sure you have this graph memorized already. Just keep it seared into your brain for all future conversations.

In the meantime, don’t mind me, I’m happy to donate my tax dollars to buy your car.
“I hope it has the same kind of effect it had in Germany,” Khademi said. “I support anything that will stimulate car sales at this point.”
Right – because making certain that American cars sell is faaarrrrr more important than letting my (nonexistent) children pay their future bills with ease.
These articles – in the first one, mentions Medicare Part D as being a big Bush government spending program. (which it is) However – it does not mention the amount of money the government thinks it saved in future medicare visits/surgeries etc, by having the drugs available.
YET Congress wants to just give people $4500 to exchange their older car for a newer car with better gas mileage because by this spending we’ll “save” in the long run.
$#%$#@^$%@#^&W$%&^$*&
From Scott.
We know who will win if it comes down to fisticuffs. We don’t know yet if the court wants this fight.
This is a power play of historical proportions and one that will test the checks and balances intended by the framers of the Constitution. A check on Obama here may well give investors some confidence that their investment will be somewhat protected but a decision to allow Obama to go forward would have the opposite effect.
The Supreme Court has the chance to put a stop on our march to socialism and Obama doesn’t want anyone standing in his way, not even SCOTUS. Let’s wait and see if Ginsburg has the guts to challenge him.
Two views
One by Christopher Hitchens brought to us by Bloodthirsty Liberal
Any person with the smallest pretense to cultural literacy knows that there is no such place or thing as “the Muslim world,” or, rather, that it consists of many places and many things.
And another brought to us by Eugene Robinson who finds just Obama being Obama is amazing.
I used to fear that President Obama was overestimating the power of his personal history as an instrument of foreign policy. Now I wonder if he might have been underestimating.
It’s funny because Mr. Robinson sees amazing new concepts of respect for Muslims in Obama. There was not a single day that President Bush was disrespectful. He notes the “I love you Obama” and compares it to the 2 shoes thrown at Bush and makes it sound significant without noting the new Obama settlements in Israel.
He concludes that the election in Lebanon was about Obama.
The Associated Press reported Sunday that the Iranian-backed, Lebanon-based guerrilla group Hezbollah, an influential radical Saudi cleric and the Egypt-based Muslim Brotherhood all warned followers not to be taken in by Obama’s seductive words — which suggests a fear that Obama had been dangerously effective.
Or it suggests that as the Middle East realizes it can no longer count on the US to be strong, those who are sane need to become strong and they need to do so quickly.
In the meantime……I defended Pelosi last year when she visited a holy site and wore a head scarf. Unless someone can tell me that Clinton was in a mosque or other holy site, what the hell is she doing with a scarf on???!!

The Taliban blew up a mosque in Pakistan.
Pakistanis have said “Enough”.
More than a thousand armed tribesman seeking revenge for a mosque attack surrounded two Taliban strongholds and destroyed the homes of Taliban fighters – including some commanders – in Pakistan’s northwest, an official said Monday.
Interestingly, none of the articles I’ve read on this explains why the Taliban attacked a mosque. ??
Hopefully I’ll have a followup later.
Or you can make it easy and think like a conservative.
In a story about how the government spending programs have hurt the housing market and not helped, we get this gem.
To understand how this is all connected, you have to think like a bond trader.
Or you might figure that loans are harder to come by as banks realize the government is willing to recreate them just because.
Or you might figure that housing prices are not going to drop to their natural level if housing prices are propped up by government money.
Or……….
