Terrorist Watch List

If you are on the terrorist watch list, are you most certainly a terrorist?

This story from May last year has the FBI list at 24,000 people and yet it doesn’t include people who are current subjects of investigations.

So let’s say you’re on list.
Should you no longer have the right to free speech?
Should the government be able to overrun your home without a warrant?
Should you no longer have a right to representation or life?
Then what about your right to bear arms?

Dana Milbank questions the NRA’s patriotism because they believe a person should have their constitutional rights until they shouldn’t.

If it’s this easy to take away your constitutional rights, or leave you without citizenship in any country – it’s too easy.
(There is a bill proposed to strip citizenship away from citizens who are involved in terror groups)

What’s the matter with treason?
Citizenship matters and should be taken seriously. If you are a citizen and you join the enemy, that’s treason and you should be hung.

If you are a citizen, you have a right to bear arms until you have destroyed your own rights in that. Being on a list because you have cash, or visited Pakistan doesn’t cut it. IMHO

I agree being on the list shouldn’t strip you of your citizenship rights; however, using cash to buy a ticket to the Middle East after a 5-month trip to Pakistan should certainly get you onto the list. Or maybe I misunderstood your last sentence.

    You misunderstood the last sentence.

“Being on a list because you have cash, or visited Pakistan doesn’t cut it. IMHO”

“being on a list”….in other words, you’re on the list because of the cash and/or the visit…..
Being on the list shouldn’t deny you your constitutional rights. And no, there is no right to fly commercial.

Maybe purchasing a one way ticket with cash to a middle eastern country shouldn’t put you on a no-fly list BUT it should be reason enough to check the list for that name. I give up, what does IMHO mean?

It should definitely leave you questioned and possibly put on a nofly list.

There are times I like Ann Coulter and times i don’t. But she had a hilarious commentary on the recent Times Square bomber:

On Emirates Airline, being on the No-Fly list qualifies you for pre-boarding!

    Doh!
