Do we remember how all those folks had a cow when the Supreme Court ruled that corporations could speak freely, just like people?
It turns out that big entities really are just like people.
When I’m in debt by a few hundred, and I come across a little extra, I use that extra to pay off the debt as quick as possible. When I’m in debt by a few thousand, eh, that little extra isn’t going to make much difference so I might as well spend it when I want something new and shiny.
When the government is only in debt by billions, folks are up in arms about debt. But when the government is in debt by trillions, and there sits almost a trillion just waiting to be spend and they want something new and shiny…….
Good luck using it to pay down debt guys, they even call it a “Piggy Bank” and completely forget where the dang stuff comes from!!
