White House goes silent on bin Laden raid
“Spin” in this day and age doesn’t work as well as it used to. There are tweeters tweeting, witnesses interviewing, and rumors running amok.
Going silent IS the smartest thing unless it’s just using the words “I don’t know” when you don’t actually know. Until all have been debriefed, and the top guys have decided what the narrative will be and it’s backupable being quiet is a good plan.

I cannot understand why there is so much confusion and different stories coming out on the Bin Laden raid – we all saw video of the “president’ and his national security sitting there watching the whole thing in “real time” – did they all see it differently?
I have some bad news for you, they haven’t “gone silent” they have “gone stupid”! The political spin coming out of the White House national security apparatus, specifically John Brennan and now Tom Donilon, is bordering on treasonous. There is so much leaking going on to make the President look like Winston Churcill, they are endangering the lives of our operators at future operations.
Brennan and ESPECIALLY Donilion are so far in over their head as to be bordering on incompetent. The initial reports said they had 60 to 80% prediction Bin Laden was there, well, they now say 50%. In a week they will say we barely knew, to make Obama look superhumanley prescient. Hmm… CIA safe house down the street and we had no intel on the house.
BTW, if you are wondering about why they say “largest intel in the history of mankind” thats to counter Hayden’s commentary that the most intel came from the CIA, “black sites,” and waterboarding.
Bottom line: a lot of these a$$holes in the Administration need to drink a big mug of SHUT THE F$%K UP!!!
