Is America Ready for a Woman in the White House?

How about is America ready for more dumb ass questions?

This opinion column in the LATimes today was the final straw.

It suggests that Hillary, because she “wants it” so badly isn’t playing by “the rules” of being coy. A man who “wants it” wouldn’t be judged so harshly so America is probably not ready for a woman in the White House.

As difficult as it to say out loud (which is why you haven’t heard it), Clinton’s aching need for the presidency is freaking voters out. Like a bachelorette whose obsessive focus on finding a mate has reduced the other aspects of her life to blank, negligible spaces, Clinton has somehow managed to give people the feeling that, should she not get the nomination, she has nothing to go back to.

Gag me.
and Bullsh**!

There is so much garbage in play this election. Instead of focusing on the dumbass way plenty of voters vote (Nixon was ugly, Edwards has nice hair, Kerry acts French, Huckabee has such a cute name) that we get to focus on 2 major themes. Racism and Sexism. Is it alive? Sure. But so is stoopidness.

America is plenty ready to elect a woman for President. But not this woman!!!!!
(and may I add Pat Schroeder was not strong enough to stand an election and Geraldine was not the right woman either)

We’ve all heard of BDS. Elect Hillary and we’re going to be getting HDS. How do I know? Because I have it!!! Hillary is far closer in my views than Barack (not that close, but far closer) and I would not vote for her if she was the only choice. Everything she says or does I suspect. She is Bill all over again only with actual ideas to go along with her pandering, lying/blechiness.

She can’t be in the White House. Please!!!

And may I add – she is also a woman of a certain age. And that doesn’t mean she’s too old. Or too young. It means she’s a woman who fought hard for equality of opportunity. It wasn’t an easy fight and it’s won. But it’s ingrained in her. I know this type and there are a lot of them. They think women are the cat’s meow. We can do no wrong. Apparently we can’t be “illegal” (see the Anchoress link further down). We can, however, “clean house” or create “world peace” etc etc etc.

I don’t fault these women who think that. In order to create change you have to see conflict and women who fought the movement had to think of themselves as far better than men gave them credit for.

That war is over now though. Many women (often younger than that around 60 age, but not always) are not bitter and we see that women are as good or as bad, as smart or as dumb as decisive or as flip floppy as able to lead or as able to follow as men. We’re different, yet equal. Yes a woman could run this country.

NOT Hillary!!!

People may vote for her based on “the rules” or crying or cackling laughs or being double teamed, but people vote for all kinds of stupid reasons.
When it comes down to it, the pundits need to be talking with people who are actually informed and vote for real reasons.

And Hillary can’t win with them.

Now, go read the Anchoress who has the best blog out today on the “no woman is illegal” theme. She’s got knock, knock jokes and everything.

And also go read bloodthirstyliberal’s take on the Ms Magazine refusal to post an advertisement by the American Jewish Council. Ms had some made up reasons, but BTL cuts back to the real one.

I’m starting to think that feminists are pocketing money from dictatorial Arab regimes. What would explain the refusal to condemn the widespread oppression of women in the Arab world, honor killings in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Canada, and now, with the murder of two teenage sisters in Dallas, likely in the United States? Meanwhile, they can’t run an ad featuring prominent female Israelis. Racist, sexist, anti-Semitic.

“Occupation”

I’m with Peter Wehner on Bush’s use of the word “occupation” for Israel’s position in “Palestine”.

Invoking the word “occupation,” which Israeli leaders have also used, strikes me as an odd and unhelpful thing. The West Bank and Gaza, as well as the Sinai desert and Golan Heights, were lost in an Arab war of aggression against Israel–and yet the aggressor states took on the mantle of the aggrieved. This historical fact cannot be stressed often enough: Israel did not set out to conquer anything; it seized the land in a war of self-defense. And Israel ceded—at Camp David in 1979—more land in pursuit of peace than virtually any victor in history. Israel gave up more than 90 percent of the land, including oil-rich land, it won in a war in which it was not the aggressor state. Post-World War II Germany lost land compared to pre-World War II Germany—but Germans do not refer to that lost land as “occupied territory.” It lost the land in a war—and when you lose a war, you often lose land, and the claims on that land.
